  • ABOUT THE POSITION

     

    Exciting opportunity for an Engineering Specialist to join the Variable Speed Drive Segment based in Gauteng, South Africa. You will be responsible for acquiring new business as well as maintaining existing relationships. This is the key role for the success of our operation.

    You will be responsible for:

    • Develop and execute feasible sales plans to introduce Variable Speed Drive products into new market/industry sector and to build a comprehensive customer data base
    • Prepare and deliver product demonstrations and solution presentations (on or off site) to potential and existing customers, industry groups and consultants
    • Identify and develop business opportunities with new and existing customers by utilizing your product knowledge & applications experience in the general industry market
    • Increase sales opportunities and use of Variable Speed Drive product offerings with existing customers, by up-selling and cross-selling
    • Provide status reports on work as required, including sales forecast, maintaining accurate records on target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts and correspondence
    • Participate in regional sales meetings along with trade shows as required
    • Cultivate effective long-term relationships with customers/potential customers through regular and meaningful contact
    • Develop partnerships with selected accounts: end users, EPCM’s, OEM’s, system providers, wholesalers, contractors, etc.
    • Research and generate technical solutions to meet industry specification, customer needs and recommend the solutions optimizing value and satisfaction for our customer and company.

    Your Qualification shall be:

    • Diploma with substantial knowledge in the field of Electrical Engineering
    • 2 to 5 years of experience in sales and/or marketing, preferably in the drive’s business
    • Proven track record of business sales success
    • Use strategic sales tools and have a drive for sales and a passion for meeting customers
    • An individual with strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to build relationship quickly and effectively
    • An individual with analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Independent and self-reliant
